"Reinvent the Wheel" is 4 feet tall. I rusted many fabrics way back in the day and I am still using them to this day. I used Caran d'Ache Neocolor II Watersoluble crayons to color around the wheels and interspersed with African cottons and silk, then quilted the whole thing down.
My friend had an alpaca farm and she sent me shorn wool, which I machine felted (the squares set on point) and put into this piece. I also used some rusted fabric.
"Sandpiper" is about 20" high. I stitched the bird on my machine and then attached with hand stitching.
"Chook" is 12" square. It was made for the SAQA auction fall of 2022.
This is 12" square and was made for a SAQA auction years ago.
"Guitar Hero" is 4 feet tall. It was fun to put together. I used Caran d'Ache Neocolor II watersoluble crayons to color the guitars and guitar parts.
"Kneehigh to a Grasshopper" is 4 feet high. It was African cottons, rusted fabric and obi silk. Again, Caran d'Ache Neocolor II watersoluble crayons were used.
"Two Faced" is 24" high. Once again, rusted fabric over silk and quilted.
